The Wilkins Angel Network is a membership for people who want to practice disciplined, philosophy-first angel investing alongside Tony Wilkins and each other. These rules keep it a room worth being in. By joining, you agree to follow them.
1. What your membership includes
- Bi-weekly Wilkins Workshops: live sessions, twice a month, hosted by Tony.
- Live Q&A with Tony during Workshops.
- Access to the member network to meet and compare notes with other members.
- Occasional founder presentations.
Membership is $1,500 per year and renews automatically each year unless you cancel (see section 8).
2. Be the investor founders want around the table
- Treat every member, guest and founder with respect. Disagree with ideas, never attack people.
- Be a strategic counselor, not an overbearing investor. Offer introductions, insight and good questions, not unsolicited advice.
- When you pass on a founder, pass kindly and with a reason. A fast, kind no is part of this practice.
- No harassment, discrimination, threats or abusive language, in sessions or in private messages.
3. Keep what's shared in the room
- Treat everything discussed in Workshops, including founder presentations, member deals and portfolio details, as confidential.
- Don't share names, numbers, decks or materials from a session outside the Network without the owner's permission.
- Don't record, screenshot or redistribute sessions. [If Tony records Workshops: "Tony may record Workshops and make recordings available to members only."]
4. No selling, soliciting or pooling
- Don't pitch your own products or services, recruit for other programs, or send members unsolicited offers.
- Don't use the Network to raise money, solicit investments or organize group investments. Founders present only by Tony's invitation.
- The Network does not pool money, make investments, or act as a fund, syndicate or investment club. Any investment a member makes is a private decision between that member and the company.
5. Education, not investment advice
- Everything shared in the Network, by Tony or by members, is for education and discussion. It is not investment, legal or tax advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy any security.
- Founder presentations are not offers to sell securities. Do your own diligence, and talk to your own legal, tax and financial advisors before you invest.
- Angel investing carries a high risk of loss, including losing your entire investment. Never invest more than you can afford to lose.
- If you have a financial interest in a company you're discussing, say so. Tony will do the same.
6. How we handle problems
If a member breaks these rules, Tony or the Network's community manager may, depending on how serious it is:
- Give a private warning.
- Remove a post or a member from a session.
- Suspend membership.
- End membership permanently.
Membership is a privilege, not a right, and may be withdrawn at Tony's discretion for conduct that harms the Network, its members, or the founders who present to it. If membership is ended for a rules violation, [you'll receive a prorated refund for the unused months of your current year; no refund is owed].
7. Raising a concern
If someone's behavior concerns you, email [email protected]. We'll keep your report as private as we can.
8. Renewal and cancellation
Your membership renews automatically every 12 months at the then-current annual price. We'll email you a reminder [30] days before each renewal.
You can cancel anytime from your account or by emailing [email protected]. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the year you've paid for.
[Refund window, e.g. "If you cancel within 14 days of first joining, you'll get a full refund."]
9. Changes to these rules
We may update these rules as the Network grows. We'll tell members about meaningful changes by email or in the member area.
